How To Prepare For Job Fairs

Job Fairs are great places for freshers to approach many different recruiters at one single spot. This is a blessing for many freshers which saves them a lot of effort. If you are one among them, you should also note that preparation for job fairs is very important to make the most out of them. Job fairs have become quite frequent due to the increased number of companies and vacancies. Also, it is a very good platform for company representatives to meet youngsters in person before selecting or calling them for interview or placement tests.

Remember recruiters have solely 2-3 minutes to spend with you because of the large volume of attendants. 

Select the companies you're most interested in and research their websites, annual reports, and recent media coverage. Talk to your networking contacts. Your goal is to thoroughly understand what the companies do and how you can bring value to them

After putting together the list of target employers, prioritize them. Think of the information you will ask them and think of your job objectives. Adjust your resume to their requirements and make sure they fit the company's strategy. 

Double-check your resume for spelling or grammar errors and make sure it provides clear, easy to understand information. Make plenty of resume copies and add some extra just in case you will find some other interesting job offers at the job fair.
